The garden of blue pinwheels adorning the Wise County courthouse lawn symbolizes happiness and hope for children, according to county social services officials who ‘planted’ them Wednesday. The pinwheels are used to mark April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. A commemorative event at the site is in the works for next week, tentatively the morning of April 9.
