Mike Hymes Lifelong resident of Tazewell County. Member, Tazewell County Board of Supervisors since 2006. Member of the Cumberland Plateau Planning District board. Third generation coal miner. Works as corporate director of human resources at James River Coal Co. Graduate of Concord College. Earned master’s degree from West Virginia College of Graduate Studies. Active in local and statewide United Way, Junior Achievement for Virginia and West Virginia and founding member of the Tri State Drug Abuse Task Force. Married to wife, Cecelia, retired teacher and extension agent. They have two grown sons.
