Norton and Wise County got an unexpectedly persistent covering of snow and ice through most of the day last Thursday, making roads slick and complicating the drive home from work. Much of the snow was melted by Friday afternoon, but the Bear Creek reservoir in Wise remained decorated by the natural beauty of a thin ice coating.
