Salamander study needs public input

The college is assisting a larger study conducted by the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute to locate hellbenders in Virginia's streams and rivers. Water samples collected from area watersheds, including the Guest River, pictured here, can help determine whether hellbenders are present by extracting DNA from the samples. WALLY SMITH PHOTO.
