Landslide bumps valley road

This landslide occurred recently beside Route 610 on the Norton end of Powell Valley. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, last weekend, ‘workers re-established the ditch and shoulder, but couldn’t fully finish the repairs due to the saturated soil. They will be back to finish those repairs once the soil is dry.’
