Norton Elementary and Middle School student Brandon Sexton received the school's Citizenship Award on Memorial Day as part of an award and recognition ceremony for seventh graders who are headed to J.I. Burton High School. What made the moment special was the person who presented Brandon with his award. His brother Aaron Looney, a Burton High graduate, made a surprise visit while on leave from the Marines. Looney, who is stationed in California, had not seen Brandon in 13 months. Norton Elementary and Middle School teacher Robert Bentley had a hand in arranging the Marine's visit.
