Jimmy Fawbush recently penned the words of his emotions at the start of a new football season. Fawbush was an up and coming athlete at J.I. Burton until a tragic accident on the football field in 1968 paralyzed him and ended his playing career. It did not, however, end Fawbush’s spirit. He overcame his disability to graduate from Burton and go into education. Fawbush has also been a lifelong supporter of the Raider athletic programs and has been involved with several sports programs at Burton over the years.
