Burton honor society inspired to give back

J.I. Burton High School inducted 26 members into the school's first National Honor Society chapter in a formal ceremony held the evening of Nov. 24 in the Burton auditorium. Members inducted were: James Adams, Jazlyn Adams, Victoria Adams, Robert Beauchamp, Tannor Cates, Tiffany Cole, Isaac Davis, Dylan Dockery, Colleen Gilliam, Haley Gilliam, Matthew Gilliam, Sophie Gonzalez-Prince, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Pierceton Hobbs, Charisma Hunter, Cameron Jenkins, Austin Johnson, Cody Messer, Marissa Mullins, Reichert Price, Alex Pritchard, Sierra Spriggs, Emily Trent, Evan West, Conner Wharton and Caitlyn Yates. Officers are Dylan Dockery, president; Evan West, vice president; Robert Beauchamp, secretary; and Connor Wharton, treasurer. After the induction ceremony, honor society members and their families gathered in the school cafeteria for a reception.
