J.I. Burton High School has won the 2015-16 Claudia Dodson VHSL Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity Award. This is the Virginia High School League’s most prestigious award and the only award that an entire school is graded on. Burton is one of 39 schools across the state to win the award for the past academic and sports year. This marks the second time that the school in Norton has been so recognized by the VHSL. The award is named after the late Claudia Dodson, a VHSL assistant director from 1971-2002. A job well done by the J.I. Burton High School administration, faculty, staff, coaches, athletes and entire student body.
