Kayakers paddle High Knob Lake toward the beach area. Other festivities included guided hikes on mushrooms, wetlands, salamanders, regional geology, edible plants and medicinal plants and presentations on wilderness survival, fish of Southwest Virginia, wolves, birds of prey, snakes and reptiles and bats.
