Hemorrhagic deer disease found locally

A dead deer believed to be diseased was found Saturday at the water’s edge on Pound Lake. The state game department this week confirmed that a viral disease known as hemorrhagic disease has killed a number of deer, with the bulk of the reports coming from the Pound River area in Wise County.
