Town police honored for troop support

The Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve recently recognized the Pound Police Department and Chief Tony Baker for their support when a fellow officer was called up for service. The patriotic men and women of the Guard and Reserve serve voluntarily, the plaque notes, and for these volunteers to continue their service to community and country, increased public understanding and support is required. At left, Mayor George Dean presented the plaques to Baker at the Nov. 21 Pound Town Council meeting.
