The Most Valuable Players of the 2017 VHSCA All-Star Football Game at Wise were Noah Overstreet (71) of of Lord Botetourt High School, Keith Thompson (24 Red) of Woodbridge, Jaquarious Bellamy (10) of Hampton, Thomas Patterson (second from right) of E.C. Glass and Elijah Davis (24 Blue) of Heritage High School. Richard McFee, former VHSCA president and retired football coach, presented the MVP certificates to them.

The Eastside Spartans won their 12th Cumberland District baseball tournament championship in the last 14 years Tuesday with a 10-0 win over the Castlewood Blue Devils at UVA Wise's Slew Stallard Field.  SAMMY BELCHER PHOTOS
