Road made safer

During a Jan. 11 meeting, District 4 Wise County Supervisor Robby Robbins made a point of thanking the Virginia Department of Transportation for finally installing guardrail along this steep, curvy stretch of Stone Mountain Road at Tacoma. Robbins had been calling for safety upgrades for months after a logging operation removed most of the trees from the roadside.
