Prior to that, was employed 12 years as a medical transport paramedic and operations/ personnel manager with Dickenson County Ambulance Service in Clintwood.• Civic involvement: Life member and current lieutenant, chief medical officer, paramedic and vice-president of board of directors with Pound Rescue Squad, Inc., having served since 1980. Founding member and only serving commander/ chief rescue diver and SSI Divemaster and rescue diver instructor with Regional DiveRescue headquartered in Pound, certified and serving since 1985. Former firefighter with Pound Volunteer Fire Department and former assistant fire chief, training officer and state firefighter instructor.
