Loyalty Day celebrated

Veterans march proudly through downtown Coeburn April 29 during a celebration of national Loyalty Day, hosted by VFW Post 8652. Loyalty Day, first recognized in 1921 and made official in 1955, is normally celebrated on May 1. However, organizers moved the event two days ahead because May 1 is election day in town.
