Norton School Board recognized Morgan Cardon May 14 for her entry in the annual Virginia School Boards Association art contest. Her portrait of a rooster was done entirely of recycled magazines, art instructor Neil Walker explained. Surrounding Cardon and her piece are, from left, Norton School Board member Carol Caruso, instructor Walker, and board members Mark Leonard and Sherry Adams. Cardon's artwork will hang at the Norton School Board office.
