Wise County/Norton Commonwealth Attorney Chuck Slemp, shown with Lonesome Pine Office on Youth Director Glenda Collins, recently received the organization’s 2018 Outstanding Youth and Family Services Award. Slemp was recognized for service to the region ‘and specifically his focus on promoting the well-being of children and families.’ Slemp serves on the Virginia Commission on Youth and served on the statewide steering committee for Virginia Adopts: Campaign for 1,000, an effort to promote foster care adoption.
