At Norton School Board’s Aug. 14 meeting, students were recognized for their participation in the SWVA Can Code Pitch Fest at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Aug. 1. In two weeks, the students used the Apple Swift coding language to program two app prototypes and pitch them to Apple software developers at the event. One prototype was for an app that bridges potential donors to charities. The other was for an app that showcases the recreational activities around Norton.
