Meeting April 25, Wise Town Council proclaimed May 15-21 as Police Week in the town. ‘Members of the Wise Police Department play an essential role in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of our citizens and we wish to honor the extraordinary service, sacrifice and steadfast dedication of these law enforcement officers,’ reads the mayor's proclamation.
