BOBBY RAY MCCOWAN

Bobby Ray McCowan, 61, Coeburn, VA passed away, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Ballad Norton Community Hospital.

Bobby was born in Wise County on March 31, 1960, and was the son of the late Bobby Joe and Clara (Sluss) McCowan.

He was a coal miner.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Eddie McCowan preceded him in death in August of 2021.

Surviving are his daughters, Brittney Scott and husband, Paul and Crystal McCowan; sons, Tanner McCowan and wife, Brittanee and Jason McCowan; grandchildren, Mylee, Tucker, Riley, and Raelynn; sisters, Donna McCowan, Judy Kilgore and husband, Donnie, Frances Moore and husband, Benny, Katie Meade and husband, Jack, and Phyllis Burke and husband, Dennis; brother, Chad McCowan and wife, Jessica; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 25 at Estes Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Ronnie Collins, Jr. officiating.
