Cannon display to get upgrade

The cannon in front of Norton city hall was removed from the base March 10. The city plans to build a new carriage and refurbish the base. City Manager Fred Ramey expects the work to be done in 30-45 days. The cannon was used on the USS Constitution, built in 1797, and was placed in the city in memory of local troops who died in the first world war. JANA BRICKETT PHOTO
