Celebrate the annual Festival of Trees at the Southwest Virginia Museum, Big Stone Gap, now through Sunday, Dec. 30. Eighty-two trees are decked out for the holiday season as will doorways, banisters and mantels. Area businesses, schools, churches, civic groups and individuals pitch in by creating themed decorations. The Festival of Trees will be available for viewing Tuesday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday 1-5 p.m. Closed on Monday. Regular admission rates will apply; guided tours for groups are available. Special night viewing hours are from 5-8 p.m. on Saturdays (Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29).
