THOMAS G. GILLEY

Thomas G. Gilley, 74, of Pound, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 17, 2020 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He attended Mt. Zion Church, was owner and operator of Tom’s Auto Repair in Pound, had worked for Kiser Auto Sales and was a retired employee from VDOT.

He was preceded in death by a son, Captain Thomas E. Gilley; his parents, Lindsay Gilley and Emogene Gilley Bailey; step-father, Mitchell Bailey; and a brother, Michael Gilley.

Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Gloria Jean Gilley; son, Forrest Gilley and Erin Collins of Pound; six grandchildren, Jonathan Gilley, Shelbie Gilley, Audrey Gilley, Emma Gilley, Meredith Gilley, Olivia Gilley and one on the way; two sisters, Lois Riner and husband Ronnie of Wise and Judy Clawson and husband L.C. of Wise; two brothers, Paul Gilley and wife Clara of Pound and Glendale Gilley and wife Judy of Nickelsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Thomas G. Gilley were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 20 at the Sturgill Funeral Home chapel in Wise with Roger Bolling officiating.
