Advent series concert is Wednesday

The community is cordially invited to attend a concert being presented by Suzanna Masters and D. Michael Donathan on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, Norton.

Masters, a well-known music educator, clarinet recitalist and conductor, is an instructor in music at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. Donathan is professor emeritus of music at UVA Wise.

For this concert, the duo, who have performed numerous concerts in the past, will present works for clarinet and piano by W. A. Mozart, David Peninger, F. Schubert, F. Mendelssohn and David Smith. Donathan will perform solo organ works by Paul Manz, David Maxwell and R. Schulz-Widmar.

The program is part of the 24th Annual Advent Music Series at All Saints.

All Saints Episcopal Church is located at 1015 Virginia Avenue, across from the Norton City Park, the small red brick church with double red front doors. The concert is free and open to everyone.
