Myra Marlowe, center, played by Jennifer P. Mullins, feels besieged by the rustic folk she encounters in Beaver Haven, where she has retired from show business for a quiet life of writing her memoirs. Leading the welcoming committee are busybodies Reba Harper, left, played by Jerry Lou Brown, and Cora Gump, played by Erin Dalton. Brown also directs “A Bad Year For Tomatoes.” The play’s second performance is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at Appalachia Cultural Arts Center. PHOTO BY ELISSA POWERS.
