Dr. Turner honored for years of service

Dr. Turner, who practiced optometry in Wise County for 42 years, joined the Coeburn Lions Club in August 1964 and served as Secretary/Treasurer in 1965-66. He then served as President in 1967-68 and again in 1992-93. At the age of 75, Dr. Turner retired from an active practice in Coeburn. He moved to Abingdon in the fall of 1998 and joined the Abingdon Lions Club shortly thereafter in 1999.
