City schools get active shooter training

On Jan. 8, the Wise County Sheriff's Response Team assisted the Norton Police Department with active shooter response training for teachers and staff at Norton Elementary and Middle School as well as John I. Burton High School. The training will help better prepare school staff to protect students in the event of any threat.
