New Norton Mayor Joe Fawbush, right, presents a plaque with a mounted gavel to councilman and former mayor William Mays during city council’s Tuesday meeting. Mays served as mayor since 2009, but earlier this month he nominated Fawbush for the post. Fawbush served as vice mayor since 2009.
