Walking to meet fuel needs

There was a high turnout Sunday for Mountain Empire Older Citizens’ annual Walkathon, which raises money for the agency’s Emergency Fuel Fund. The large number of participants kept agency personnel busy registering people who had gathered pledges. The agency’s goal was $155,000; the amount of money raised and number of walkers was to be determined early this week.Click Hereto order photo reprints
