A group of cancer survivors takes a victory lap Saturday night at the concluding event of the 2011 Wise County Relay for Life, which raises money for the American Cancer Society. This year’s Relay event was cut short by rain on July 29, so organizers scheduled Saturday’s event at Central High School as a concluding ceremony. As of July 29, nearly $80,000 had been raised, with organizers predicting it would climb to about $85,000. ELISSA POWERS PHOTO.
