HENRY N. TAYLOR JR.

Henry N. Taylor Jr., 72, of Norman, OK, passed away, March 3, 2021. He was born February 24, 1949 in Jenkins, KY, to Henry Nelson Taylor Sr. and Georgia Mae (Hall) Taylor.

Henry met the love of his life and married Cheri Ellison on December 2, 1967 in Wise, VA. He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in engineering and retired from Boeing after 30 years. Therefore, he loved to tinker and repair electronics, computers, etc.. A few of his hobbies include swimming and reading sci-fi or Christian books. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and loved taking them to White Water. It was not uncommon to find Henry on his Kubota tractor working or playing. Henry was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and proudly served as a deacon.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents Henry Taylor Sr., and Georgia Baldwin; his daughter, Alpha Denise Taylor; and his sister, Betsy Taylor.

Henry is survived by his wife, Cheri Taylor of Norman, OK; his daughter, Medea Taylor of Buda, TX; four grandchildren: Tori, Jordan, Kelsey and Rebecca; three great-grandchildren: Avery, Autumn and Addison; and his Lakeview Church family.

Celebration of Life Services will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10 at Lakeview Baptist Church, 10510 Alameda Drive, Norman, OK, officiated by Dr. Mike Butler. Online condolences may be shared at www.tribute.care.
