HILDA S. LANE

Hilda S. Lane, 90, of Pound, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Heritage Hall Heath Care in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

She was a member of Hubbard Chapel Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Lane; her parents, Anthony and Margaret Stanley; and two brothers, Carl Stanley and Burton Stanley.

Surviving are her loving husband of 70 years, Odell Lane; a son, Kendall Lane and wife Rosa; grandchildren, James “Pete” Grant, Kristina Valerius, Melissa Barber and Nathaniel Lane; four great-grandchildren; her personal hair dresser, Leslie Bevins; caregiver, Phyllis Stapleton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Hilda S. Lane will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 at the Sturgill Funeral Home chapel in Wise with Rev. Billy Hibbitts and Rev. Tom Slemp officiating. Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
