Program helps library improve Internet outreach

Chris Smith, supervisor of C. Bascom Slemp Memorial Library, with an e-reader. The Lonesome Pine Regional Library has about 400 books that can be downloaded to e-readers by library cardholders. But the C. Bascom Slemp library has about 50,000 ‘real’ books, plus thousands of other print items such as magazines and newspapers. An e-reader such as the one Smith has can hold about 1,200 books.
