The entire amount of the successful bid must be paid in full by certified or bank cashier’s check within thirty (30) days after sale, and Time is of the Essence as to the closing date and payment of the purchase price. A & G Coal Corporation is applying for bond release on Permit No. 1101822 located 4 miles SE of Pound on Powers Branch, Dickenson County, Virginia on the Caney Ridge and Pound USGS quadrangles, at coordinates N 3590330 and E 10313527. The application number is 1008943. This permit consists of 138.72 acres which are bonded under the Virginia Coal Surface Mining Reclamation Fund (Pool Bond). As provided by 4 VAC 25-130-801.17 of the Virginia Coal Surface Mining Reclamation Regulations, the Applicant is requesting that the total bond amount of $ 258,600 in the form of insurance surety currently posted for this permit be released.
This bond release request is based on completion of the extended period of responsibility (5 full years) for successful revegetation and the following reclamation: Successful revegetation of all areas, with seeding and tree planting occurring until 2004. The postmining land use of Agricultural, Grazing Land, has been achieved. Results of the reclamation are very good.
Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal; or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority may within 30 days of November 20, 2013 submit written comments or objections concerning this bond release, and may also request, in writing, that the Division of Mined Land Reclamation hold a public hearing or an informal conference. The Dickenson County Board of Supervisors is preparing to carry out the Frying Pan Water Line Extension Project through the use of Virginia Community Development Block, Virginia Department of Health Office of Drinking Water and Local Funds.
In carrying out this project, the Dickenson County Board of Supervisors will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize qualified Suppliers that are located within or owned by persons residing in Dickenson County and for the purchase of Construction Materials.
Additionally, the following contracts and procurements will/may be made:
(a) Construction and service contracts will likely include:
Construction material, sewer and water line, concrete form work, reinforcement, masonry, miscellaneous metal work, HVAC, welding, paving and audit of grant funds.
Materials and supplies likely to be used will be concrete, sewer and water line, concrete septic tanks, stone, asphalt, aggregate, lumber, and other general construction materials related to construction.
The Dickenson County Board of Supervisors is soliciting the participation of minority and female owned businesses in carrying out this project.
