In compliance with Section 816.64 of the Virginia Coal Surface Mining Reclamation Regulations, notice is hereby given that Nine Mile Spur LLC having been issued Surface Mine Permit No. 1102014, located approximately 4 miles north of Appalachia, Virginia, will be conducting blasting on the area covered by the permit. Blasting will be in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws and will commence according to the following schedule of dates and times, as approved by the regulatory authority:

The Forest Service will receive sealed bids in public at District Office at 3:00 PM local time on 06/24/2013 for an estimated volume of 6 CCF of Eastern Hemlock sawtimber, 302 CCF of Hardwoods sawtimber, 665 CCF of Oak sawtimber, 321 CCF of Yellow Poplar sawtimber, and 1070 CCF of Hardwoods pulpwood marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. Public Notice is hereby given that the Town of Wise Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Wise Municipal Building located at 501 W. Main Street, Wise, VA for the purpose of soliciting public comment with regard to a variance request filed by Collins Auto, Inc. for a variance in maximum square footage for a surface mounted sign to be located at 531 W. Main Street in the B-3 Central Business Zoning District.

The application is on file in the office of the Town Planner where it may be examined by interested parties during regular office hours.
