An estimated $4.4 million. That's the total cost estimate for property damage suffered by Wise County residences and businesses following recent winter storms that buried the county beneath two-plus feet of snow. The county received 351 damage report applications, including 168 single family dwellings, 139 accessory buildings, and 44 commercial structures. Most damage reports are roof-related, some of which caused total or partial building collapses, said County Building Official Robert Mullins on Wednesday.
