COX PLACE — This mountaintop community, perched along the ridgetop road that marks the county line joining Wise and Scott, is populated by people who enjoy the solitude and wonders of the High Knob. Only a couple of people spend all of their days among the 70 or so cabins that dot Sentry Road and several adjoining lanes that are best driven by four-wheel drive vehicles. But while most of the property owners aren’t fulltime residents, many are there on a regular basis, and their sense of community runs deep.
