WISE — County supervisors have declared their opposition to a proposed “fuel factor” rate increase proposed by Old Dominion Power Co. Supervisors Wednesday passed a resolution stating that Wise County and its citizens “should not be adversely impacted because of the utility’s desire to increase revenues or offset costs.” The proposed increase in ODP’s levelized fuel factor “will have detrimental financial impact on municipal and residential users especially on those with limited and/or fixed budgets,” the resolution notes.
