CLINTWOOD — The county school board has reversed course on a cost-cutting measure that would scale down an early retirement incentive, deciding instead to add another $300,000-plus to what it's asking from county supervisors. The original request to supervisors — made during a budget presentation March 14 — was for $6.9 million in operating funds. But meeting March 22, the school board unanimously supported bumping that number to $7.2 million. The school board also seeks almost $1.3 million in capital funds spread across five years.
