WISE — The Lenowisco Planning District Commission Tuesday got approval for the $1.25 million it requested from the Virginia Tobacco Commission for Lenowisco Project Intersection. The award would cover part of the cost to acquire property near the intersection of U.S. 23 and U.S. 58 but is contingent on approval of federal POWER funds and other funding "sufficient to complete acquisition and initiate site readiness activities."
