Ridgeview celebration is Friday

On Friday, Aug. 7, the community will take part in a daylong celebration of one of the county’s most historic events: the opening of Ridgeview high, technical and middle schools. Classes will begin Monday, Aug. 10 on the brand new campus. The Ridgeview project consolidated Haysi and Clintwood high schools and all the county’s middle school students, grades 6-8. Celebrating Our Community Day will kick off at 10 a.m. Friday.
