Coeburn got 15 points each from Andrew Pate and Phillip Riner.

GATE CITY - The Blue Devils (3-5, 1-0) opened up Clinch Mountain District play by hitting 20 of 24 field goal attempts in the second half on thw way to a win.

Paul Arnold led Gate City with 25 points, while Tyler Bird scored 15 points and Jordan Potts finished with 14.

Lee got 16 points from Tyler Maggard, 13 from Caleb Bledsoe and 10 from Johnny Hill.

Hayley Wyrick led Coeburn with 16 points, while Ashley McConnell scored 14 for the Lady Titans.

LEE 59, GATE CITY 40

GATE CITY - McKenzie Cluesman scored a game 20 points to lead the Lady Generals (6-2, 1-0) to a win over the Lady Blue Devils (1-8, 0-1) in the Clinch Mountain District opener for both teams.

Taylor Evans led Gate City with 13 points.
