Adkins, 86, passed away Wednesday (Nov. 18, 2009) at her home.Burial and graveside committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, in the Wise Cemetery with Pastor Cliff Bowman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
VONDA MAE MILLER - 93, of Kingsport, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Saturday (Nov. 14, 2009) at Brookhaven Manor in Kingsport. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 5 until 7 p.m. in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends should meet at 10:45 a.m. at the gravesite. ROBERT BIRL JARRETT - 79, of Pound, went to be with the Lord Saturday (Nov. 14, 2009). Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Sadie Baker Memorial Chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Pound. Burial will be Thursday, Nov. 19, at noon. GRACE “WEETIE” POTTER BOGGS - 85, died Wednesday, (Nov. 11, 2009) at her residence at Norton Regency Towers. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. MRS. WILLIE JEAN FRANKS - 73, of Toccoa, died Tuesday (Nov. 3, 2009) at her home. Entombment was at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap. Whitlock Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
NANNIE L. COOPER - 92, of Coeburn, went home to be with her Savior Friday (Nov. 6, 2009) at Mountain View Medical Center, Norton. Visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 8, at Estes Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with Rev. Don Large officiating. Burial was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
