NORTON — City council on June 18 approved the updated five-year capital improvements plan.

Projects planned for fiscal 2019-20, which begins July 1, include:

• Public tennis court resurfacing, $100,000.

• Community center refurbishment, $40,000.

• Paving projects, $325,000.

• Downtown revitalization projects, $60,000.

• City vehicle replacement, $50,000.

• Equipment leases, $89,000.

• Demolition of dilapidated buildings, $10,000.

• “Destination center” project, $100,000.

• Water tank rehabilitation, $46,000.

Projects planned for fiscal 2020-21 include:

• Buy new fleet of fire trucks, $600,000.

• Fire hose replacement, $62,500.

• Fire station roof replacement, $25,000.

• New police vehicles, $31,500.

• Flag Rock lighting upgrades, $15,000.

• Flag Rock shed roof replacement, $15,000.

• New laptop computers, $5,500.

• Digital radio system, $65,000.

• Buy one-ton dump truck, $15,000.

• Buy pickup trucks, $15,000.

• Buy used public works equipment, $25,000.

• Paving projects, $200,000.

• Sidewalk replacement, $50,000.

• Residential sidewalk replacement, $50,000.

• Downtown business façade improvements, $7,500.

• Geographic information system project, $15,000.

• Vehicle replacement, $100,000.

• Disability access upgrades, $5,000.

• Office equipment, $7,500.

• Stone wall repair, $15,000.
