BILLY RAY MASTERS

Billy Ray Masters, 85, of Wise, went home to live with Jesus on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, with his family by his side.

Billy was a Christian and attended Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Wise until his health started to decline. Billy was a hard worker at everything he did. He enjoyed helping people in any way he could. He worked in the coal industry most of his life and retired from A&G Coal at the age of 80. When not working on the job he would always think of a project he could do, whether it be farming, building or problem solving. Billy loved his family and was a wonderful provider, always giving freely of his love and time.

Billy was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Phillips Masters; parents, Hughie and Annie Beverly Masters; son, Billy Wayne; infant son; son-in-law, Donald Collins; and siblings, Mildred, Greta Lee, Emma Jean, Charles, Sue and Alfred Lee.

Surviving are his wife, Mary K. Masters; daughters, Deborah Collins, Lisa Yates and husband James and Beth Allison and husband Barry; son, Scottie Ray Masters and fiancée Amanda Harmon; he was the best papaw in the world to, Amy Spivey and husband Joseph, Jody Collins and wife Chasity, Josh Darter, Kaitlin Masters, Christian Masters, Brody Allison, Bayleigh Allison, Canaan Masters and Kyleigh Harmon; blessed to be a great-grandfather to, Adara Darnell and husband Chris, Lauren Collins, Madie Collins, Piper Ellis and Brentley Darter; brother, Ed Masters; sister, Eulena Holbrook; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, church members and co-workers.
